Hinterland Forefront

A few weeks ago I went outside to do a product shooting for our client. This is the final product:

Liebe Freunde und Familie. Irgendwann ist auch mal Schluss. Also allgemein. Ich glaube das hat irgendwas mit natürlichen Kreisläufen zu tun. Vergänglichkeit und der ganze Scheiß. Klingt zwar komisch aber so ist das nun mal. Und ich glaube so viel Veränderung wie ich im Vergangenen Jahr so durchmachte, habe ich wahrscheinlich nicht in den vorangegangenen 25 Jahren zusammen durchgemacht. Das ist zwar maßlos übertrieben aber auch irgendwie wahr.

Jedenfalls spiegelt sich solcherlei Kram ja auch irgendwann in allen anderen Teilen des Lebens wieder und auf einmal fühlt sich nicht mehr alles so ganz richtig an was man so tut oder hat oder wie man sich zeigt oder schmoder. Man entwickelt sich eben weiter und da wo etwas vergänglicher Weise vergeht öffnet sich auch viel Raum für Neues oder eben neue Ansätze.

Und hier sind wir nun mit Hinterland Forefront und Fassbinders Frequenzen. Eine Art Scheidepunkt, an dem sich schon zahllose Blogger wiedergefunden haben. Und dann macht man eben etwas neues und dann fühlt man sich frei.

So ist das nun. Ich bin irgendwie ein bisschen anders als vorher und mache mir so viele andere Gedanken und mache so viel anderes anders.
Hinterland Forefront startete eigentlich mal als eine Art Tech-Kolumne, aber das war wohl nur Ausdruck meiner schwächelnden Ambitionen einen Tech-Blogger verkörpern zu wollen. Jetzt ist es langsam wieder ein Blog. Eben eine Basis für alles – ohne festes Thema, ohne feste Ambitionen. Einfach wieder über jeden scheiß bloggen der mir so einfällt.

Fotos sollen natürlich auch nicht zu kurz kommen und so überlege ich mir noch einmal genau ob Anchor dann tatsächlich die beste Wahl ist. Dieses Herumprobieren wird ja doch eh nie aufhören. Warum auch. Fortschritt, Evolution, Vergänglichkeit.

Merkt ihr eigentlich wie geschickt ich hier ständig den verdammten Bogen zur Einführung schaffe? Wahnsinn, oder?

Also Fotos: Fassbinders Frequenzen war irgendwann als so eine Art Fotoblog gedacht. Aber das ist ja auch scheiße, mal ganz davon abgesehen, dass ich mich nun tatsächlich auch zu so einer Art “richtigem” Fotografen entwickle und das alles irgendwie mehr als ein Hobby ist. Und dann sollte man vielleicht auch aufhören sich hinter einem alten Namen zu verstecken den man mal für sein Musiker Alter-Ego zu verwenden den man vor zig Jahren schon abgeschossen hat. Und das mache ich jetzt einfach. Einfach so. Zack.

Naja. Willkommen auf Hifore. Hinterland Forefront. Ich mag den Namen sehr. Solltet ihr auch, denn ihr müsst euch an ihn gewöhnen. Irgendwann gibt’s hier gesonderte Streams für Fotoblog und Portfolio. Vielleicht auch nicht. Wir werden sehen.

Developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers…

With Satya Nadella being the new CEO of Microsoft, the era of Steve Ballmer ends – and I’m surely gonna miss him as CEO. Not only was he the face of Microsoft but also an awesome represantative of how I saw that company (and I mean that in a good way). He was one of the last CEO’s that had the crazy’s, the character and the sweaty shirts that I like in a person who has to motivate and lead a company’s employees to the crazy ideas a society, driven by innovation needs. Who else but The Verge team managed to pay him awesome tribute in form of a montage. Thanks Steve.

Wonderfully agressive music from NYC that get’s your juices flowing if you’re feeling a bit under the weather.

Ok, I know I’m a little late in to the game, but whatever. Rayman Origins is probably the best jump and run I’ve played since… well. Sonic The Hedgehog on my Sega Master System. It is SO. MUCH. FUN. The animations are so incredibly cute – it’s almost unbearable. I got it for 15€ from [Steam](http://store.steampowered.com/app/207490/) and I highly recommend you do so as well. Sadly Rayman Legends isn’t available for OS X yet, but I’m confident that this will change soon. Now, go have some fun, will ya?

You think your Facebook-Friends are annoying? You don’t care about their dumb-ass political views? You hate their opinions? You can’t relate to their interests anymore? Your highschool-friends have grown to be extremely uninteresting? You “Just don’t care.”? But you still don’t want to quit Facebook?
Just go ahead and unfriend them. Some might call you ‘asshole’ – but why would *you* care?

Listening to Podcasts always brought good things to me. Not only entertainment, but knowledge and sometimes deep understanding of subjects.

A great example of educational programmes is [CRE](http://cre.fm/cre200-stadtplanung) (German only) by [Tim Pritlove](http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Pritlove) who, in his 200th episode, talked about city planning with Thomas Stellmach. In this episode, Thomas mentioned a great piece of film by [William H. Whyte](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_H._Whyte) called The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces.

I strongly encourage you to take an hour of your day and watch it, if you are in any way interested in architecture or human centric design.

Today I felt the urge to try something new. I ended up opening Cinema 4D and playing around with some low-poly stuff.
This isn’t really anything new for me, whereas I learned a lot 3D shenanigans in school. But I haven’t touched Cinema in so many years, that my muscle-memory kind of faded into a vast, dark space filled with Photoshop and InDesign projects.
Whatever. I’m back and it feels great.
